Philosophy
Behaviour modification has been proven to have more successful long term effects with the use of science based training. We focus on rewarding the positive choices our dogs make while discouraging behaviours we don’t like in a humane way. Emma’s goal as a dog trainer is to create a training plan/training environment that will set your dog up for success. This way we try to avoid the practice of bad behaviours. Dogs are opportunists and learn based on repetition and sequence so a successful learning environment is one where the easiest choice to make is the right one. A less frustrated dog and owner will grow a lot quicker in skill and bond.
Moreover, Emma is a firm believer in the importance of ongoing education and professional development. She is constantly seeking out new knowledge and techniques to improve her training methods and provide the best possible care for her animal clients. By staying up-to-date on the latest research and trends in canine behaviour and training, she is able to offer effective solutions that are tailored to the unique needs of each animal.
Emma believes all animals are deserving of our respect, compassion, and care. By treating them as valued members of our families and communities, we can create a world that is more harmonious, joyful, and fulfilling for all beings, human and animal alike. Through her work as a dog trainer, Emma is dedicated to advancing this vision and promoting a more compassionate and humane approach to canine care and training.

My dog Cooper has been lucky enough to have Emma in his life for the last 10 months. Emma is not only extremely calm, knowledgeable and loving with our dogs, but she goes above and beyond in caring for them. Emma is forward thinking and always developing new experiences for the dogs.Cooper literally runs up the stairs to go see Emma every week and is always smiling when I pick him up. Emma is a wonderful human being and as a dog mom I am privileged to have known her for both mine and Cooper’s sake.

Emma is a truly fantastic dog trainer, and I have nothing but great things to say about her and the work she's done with Callie thus far. From our very first class, I've seen a huge improvement in Callie's behaviour, mannerisms, and confidence. Both Callie and I have learned so much from Emma, and our relationship has improved greatly as a result, as well. Emma is knowledgeable, skillful, diligent, intelligent, and quite honestly, gifted at what she does. Anyone who turns to her for help will not be disappointed by her well-researched and incredibly insightful guidance and expertise, as well as the genuine care and wholeheartedness she brings to each client and each training session. Emma is an absolute joy to work with, and I'm incredibly grateful that she has been Callie's trainer. Callie and I wish Emma the very best in all that her bright future in canine education holds for her- and I can honestly say that we both will miss her dearly.
